Fees and Dues

Scouting America (formerly known as BSA) Registration - National Membership Fee 

Troop 420 is registered with the Scouting America.  All members of the troop (scouts and adult leaders) are required to be registered with the Scouting America.  An active Cub or Boy Scout transferring into the Troop does not incur any additional national fees by Scouting America.  A scout or adult NEW to scouting will be required to register with Scouting America and to pay the annual national fee prior to joining our troop.

Troop Dues  

Troop dues are charged annually and pro-rated for those who join mid-year.  Dues are used to fund day to day operating expenses for the troop and include: purchasing merit badge and rank patches, parent pins, training and camping supplies.

 

Activity Fees

Each individual activity may have a associated fee for meals, lodging, equipment and/or transportation expenses required.  An estimate of the cost for each activity is provided at the time signups are available.  Scouts participating in an activity share the expenses evenly.
